AUGUST 19TH, 2007 • MAD CADDIES & WARPED TOUR '07

With a few weeks late I finally put the pictures I took during the show of the 123 Punk tour in Quebec City and the most recent ones of the Warped Tour. I don't really have anything to say about the Mad Caddies because as usual they gave a great performance...

As for the Warped Tour I must admit that like most people I was a little disappointed of the bands lineup. Less big bands, less punk, too much emo and for the food, if you were a vegeterian there, the only thing you could eat was veggie hot dogs. Besides, the fact that there were no buses organised in Quebec City, confirms that people weren't thrilled of the 13th edition.

Anyways, the good thing is that because there were only 3 bands I wanted to see this year, I was able to chill and drink beer at the skateboard tent for the rest of the day!

May 13th, 2007 • MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE

Here are my latest pictures, they were taken at the show of My Chemical Romance last wednesday. I will also be at the National on Friday for the show of Brand New and at the Bell Centre on May 25th for Fall Out Boy...

See you there!

February 4th, 2007 • SAVE THE SPECTRUM

Better now than never!!! I know I'm late but here are the lasts pictures I took from MAP at the Spectrum... and when I say "lasts" it might unfortunetely be true! The owners of the Spectrum (SIDEV) wants to replace the showroom by a 15 story building that would include a Best Buy (like there's not enough electronic shop in the area). And of course they dont have any intention to move the showroom somewhere else, it would then disappear forever! That's why I think it's impportant that we save one of the latest showroom that can contain approximately 1500 people especially since the biggest names in the musical industry played there. Just to name a few... The police, Smashing Pumpkins, Peter Gabriel, etc.

So please sign the petition so that the City of Montreal can refuse any permit to the owners...

Thanks!

November 1st, 2006 • PENNYWISE & MAP AT L'IMPÉRIAL

Here are the pictures I took of both shows I saw during my week off in Quebec City... As you can see on the picture below, one of them was a bigger turn out...

Take a look!

September 23rd, 2006 • BIGWIG

For a second time I had to spend 100$ on a battery charger to be able to take pictures that night! The thing is that even though I looked everywhere at l'Anti wih the help of the Exo guys I couldn't find it so I was forced to get another one to charge my battery for the night... Anyways, shit happens! At least the show was really good and I was glad to see that a lot of people bought the Bigwig t-shirt with 4 of my pictures on them!

Here are the pics...

August 27th, 2006 • WARPED TOUR '06

It cost me a lot, but it was worth every penny... It's just that when I went to Quebec City last time to take a few pictures of The Aquabats, I forgot my battery charger at l'Anti which forced me to spend 40$ in batteries for the Warped Tour! I was also surprised to see they had put sand everywhere and that I would have to wash my lense the whole day to be able to shoot my pictures. A few things I wasn't expected!

Anyways, I'm still really glad that I went there especially because of the great shows given by The Sounds and by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts who both let us take pictures through their whole shows. About NoFX I have to say that yes, they gave a good performance, but for me it was all ruined by the last quote shouted to the crowd in which they said they were leaving the stage to go sniff some drugs... I mean coming from a band politically engaged as they are, it just doesn't make any sense to encourage the kids to take that s**t and by doing so, they also encouraged the CIA which is responsible for throwing that shit in the population. I'm glad to see there is still bands with real messages of awareness like Rise Against and Anti-Flag who actually came on the stage with their fists in the air shouting " The people united will never be defeated! "

Here are the pics of the day... enjoy!

July 3rd , 2006 • THE AQUABATS

Hey everyone! Sorry I took so long to update the website, I just moved so I was kinda lost in my boxes... Anyways here are the pictures of the Aquabats I took in Quebec City. It was the first time I saw the band from California and I must say they didn't deceive me at all! Even though there weren't too many people there, the crowd was able to convince the band to play one of their old songs (Playdough). Lobster Man and Communist Rabbit were also there to fight the aquabats but the band was able to beat them with their circle of love... That was pretty funny!

So Anyways, take a look at this!

June 5th, 2006 • INTERNATIONAL NOISE CONSPIRACY

As usual The (International) Noise Conspiracy did not deceive me at all! Energetic as always, they woke up the crowd which seemed to be asleep during the first 2 bands... Between songs, they shared their deception about the recently elected Conservative Party in Canada which is inconceivable for them because they believe Canada is a lot like Sweden...They also encouraged the crowd to download their songs on the internet cause they strongly believe that downloading songs actually helps smaller bands and only has a negative effect on big record companies profits.

For those who never saw them playing, try not to miss them next time they come to your town.. you've got to see this band at least once in your life!

May 27th, 2006 • GRIND TOUR

Hey Everyone! First of all I'd like to say that I corrected the link to my email address for those of you who would like to send me any comments... It's just that it's been a while since I stopped using the other one so sorry for those who might have tried to contact me and never got an answer...

Now let's talk about the Grind Tour... Wow! What a show! I was really glad to see the Mad Caddies again... Last time they came was in 2004 at the Frostbite tour... and I have to say they are definitely one of my favorite bands... not only for their music but also cause they give a great show. Anyways, for those of you who weren't there go see the pictures I took and you'll understand what I mean.

I'll let you take a look at them now, cause there's a lot to see... See you at International Noise Conspiracy!

May 17th, 2006 • SAVES THE DAY & FALL OUT BOY

Sorry! I know it's been a while since the last update but believe me, I wish I could've done it before! It's just that my computer crashed... Damn computers! Anyways... Now all the pictures I took at Saves The Day and Fall Out Boy are there so take a look at them...

See you at the Grind Tour!

April 18th, 2006 • TASTE OF CHAOS

Hey everyone! I just added the latest pictures I took at Taste Of Chaos... I was a little disappointed that Thursday wasn't there but anyways... shit happens! Unfortunately I don't have that much pictures to show you this time because I got there a little late and the stage was really high for me... So I had a hard time trying to find the right angles to capture the best of the bands. Anyways, I hope you'll enjoy the ones I took!

See you at the Spectrum on May 2nd for Saves The Day, Circa Survive and Moneen!

April 9th, 2006 • FROSTBITE TOUR

Here are the pictures from the Frostbite Tour in Montreal and Quebec City... First of all I'd like to say that I'm very sorry I don't have more photos from the Quebec City show, but the humidity fucked my camera right at the begining... Some serious heat action! Anyways, I hope you'll like the ones I took in Montreal.

I'd also like to thank Paget and Yannick for letting me expose my pictures in Quebec. I received many good comments and someone also told me that a few people from the crowd were talking about leaving with a few pics... Unfortunately for them, I had to take them out after the 2nd band only because it started raining sweat inside and I didn't want them to be damaged.

So anyways, for the ones that weren't there at l'Anti you can also go to the Artwork section to see my latest drawing..

Enjoy - Gabe

March 10th, 2006 • NO USE FOR A NAME & SUICIDE MACHINES

It wasn't easy but I finally got what I was supposed to get in the first place. It's just that when I got to the show they told me that there were no photo passes even though I had a confirmation a month ago that I'd have one. I was really disappointed since I bought a brand new camera and I was really hoping to try it that night. So after a few negociations with the producers and the band I finally got what I wanted. Moral of the story, never quit trying!

Anyways, here's what I got...

By the way, just a little reminder that I will be exposing my pictures and artwork at l'Anti in Quebec City, so come over to see that!

February 7th, 2006 • EXHIBITION AT THE FROSTBITE TOUR

Finally, the latest CD from Bigwig is in store! After a long wait, it has arrived. And it sounds really good, so go get it as soon as you can while it's still available at your nearest CD store (independant, preferably). By the way, Bigwig will be playing in Quebec City and Montreal as part of the Frosbite Tour, with Mustard Plug (in Qc City only), Death By Stereo, Big D & The Kids Table and many others. I'll also be there to expose my artwork, so come over. By the way I'll probably be showing new stuff.

See you there!

Gabe
